By doing this, it allows the wheels to keep rotating to some extent while still slowing down the vehicle. This rotation helps the driver maintain steering control. For example, if the wheels lock, the vehicle will slide and the driver can't effectively steer around an obstacle. But with the ABS solenoid valve working, the vehicle can slow down in a more controlled way and the driver can steer the vehicle to avoid accidents.
